Bruno Barudi
Get familiar with Bruno Barudi! This Brazillian producer/DJ was dropped on us the other day, and lets just say, were glad it did. Progressive electro and house influenced beats added to amazing un-quantized synths seem to fuel this South American wonder boy, but his latin roots still punch through on tracks like "Oba Oba". Be sure to check out a couple of our favorite jamz and let us know which ones put the lead in your pencils.

Wolf Gang

No, not Wolfgang Gartner, but rather Wolf Gang, an alternative/indie band out of the UK. Their sound reminds us a bit of MGMT or Grizzly Bear, with a touch of 80s that makes us think Talking Heads. The remix by Submerse is a bit different, but has a good feel also

Daft Punk - Derezzed Video
Daft Punk-Derezzed(R3SET Remix)(Trailer) from LionelDeFontenoy on Vimeo.
Naturally were all excited about the new TRON flick that is coming out soon, but not as excited as were going to be when we hear all the new goodness from Daft Punk's upcoming album. Until then, here is the video for Derezzed.

Metric, Shinichi Osawa, Hood Intenet, and TEED

Recently we've been posting quite a bit of hard electronic so thought we would switch it up and post some lighter stuff to get your day going. You might have heard a couple of these before, but regardless, they are awesome and you'll be an idiot not to enjoy them. Be sure to check out the Metric remix and the last song by the emerging artist Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (TEED) ... starts off light and then has a drop that will 'get your balls dancin'

DJ Lucky Date

Here's a couple songs by DJ Lucky Date out of Chi-City. His songs hit with a heavy bass but also have an electro/house feel. This 20 yr old certainly has a bright future. Check out his other tunes here. Be sure to download on Beatport, as the quality is a little higher

Digital Freq

For the past three years, Miguel Cerna (Digital Freq) has been producing consistently great material with dirty electro and funk influences. It's progressive enough that it doesn't blow your head off, but it has the same bass, technical work, and drops you'd expect from Wolfgang Gartner or Felguk. Fuck. Yes. Check it out, and download the tracklist with mediafire.

Kanye West & Jay Z - Thats my Bitch (produced by Q-Tip)
There use to be a simple time when Q-Tip was flowing about vibrant things. Before that, he was testifying his obsession for "Bonita Applebottoms" and repetitively asking, what's the scenario? Well it seems that Q has turned to the other side of the recording glass and this time its with big hitters Kanye West and HOVA for their upcoming new project, Watch the Throne. Its not official but were pretty certain that this tracks hook features the very impressive Elly Jackson of La Roux. So heres a little something to suck on until more is released. Enjoy!

Cut Copy - Take Me Over

Thought we'd lighten it up a little before Thanksgiving weekend. This upcoming release from Cut Copy has the dance/synth flavor that'll get you movin' over break. Be sure to look out for their new album, set to release in early 2011.

Bassnectar
A Schemshekie favorite, Bassnectar released a new song yesterday titled Yes. It's got a reggae feel to it with the dark, hard hitting bass that we've come to love.
Basscectar also released a Fall 2010 Tour video about a week ago. The song featured in the video is titled Falling feat. Paper Machete. If you haven't seen one of his live shows, this certainly will get ya motivated

The Boomzers
So as we were browsing some of F.O.O.L's tracks, we came across a sick remix by The Boomzers. This duo out of Italy is quickly rising the charts with their electrifying sounds, many of which compare to The Bloody Beet Roots, Designer Drugs, or Gigi Barocco. More of their songs can be found here.

F.O.O.L

So we came across the producer F.O.O.L (Fuck Our Ordinary Lives) and right away, we were impressed. Their tracks are heavy and hit hard. Didnt know much about them but here is what their lil bio on Soundcloud has to say: "F.O.O.L have been called the production GODS of Sweden. No, it's not Black Metal, but it is the kind of Electro that makes churches get fire insurance. Heavy, raw, and screaming, yet built to move people on the dance floor, the vicious sounds of F.O.O.L are louder and dirtier than the homeless guy who waits outside of your local liquor store." If that doesnt get you interested, we dont know what will
